The Brick Specialists had the opportunity to work with Jaguar Properties in the construction of a small industrial unit. This unit was to be a part of the Magna Business Park, found on Temple Road in Rotherham. The build required a Red/Multi as the brick choice, however the brick chosen also had to avoid being too bright, as to not clash with the other industrial units neighbouring it.

Construction went forward using the 65mm Birchwood Red Multi, whose various shades of red varied from brighter tones reminiscent of a sunset, to darker more burnt shades. The brick also has an F2 durability designation, meaning it met the mark to be the brick of choice for the project. The Brick Specialists’ bricks are built to last.

The Brick Specialists are always aiming to engage with sustainable building practices. As such, projects such as this Jaguar Properties case study help us to continue this. Jaguar Properties aimed to build the unit to a high specification of sustainability. We always aim to work side-by-side with people who have similar goals of green practices. So, this was yet another project in our continued plight to engage with environmentally charged projects that have the interests of the planet and its future in mind during development.

The completed project looks great, being made up of various elements that come together in a cohesive way. Upper portions of the unit are made up of metal panels, while the foundations of the structure make use of our 65mm Birchwood Red Multi stock.

The unit is 5727 square feet and 6 metres eaves height, making it a sizeable unit for any potential businesses that are interested in the space.

The final product fits in perfectly with the rest of the units found in Magna Business Park and it is yet another example of how our bricks are versatile, being used in another unique project.

This brick I wanted is seen across London and the South East and has a history dating back 300 years, meaning I had a match for the historical context of the build.
