Our linear bricks and their stand-out features

Linear bricks are visually different to other types of facing bricks, offering a longer and slimmer appearance than traditional brick formats. They are not only longer than the standard brick, but their height is almost half that of a standard brick. These long-format bricks are thin in appearance and can create an effect unlike any other. With more bricks needed, the mortar binding them together can produce some beautiful line patterns. Different mortar choices can also influence various brickwork styles and bricklaying patterns. With the right choice of colour of mortar, you can achieve stunning results for your project.

At The Brick Specialists, we have 9 variations of linear bricks to offer. These all range in appearances from texture to colour. From the stand out black of our Radium choice of brick, to the light yet multi-shaded blend of Marcello. We have so many choices of linear bricks that will look great for your upcoming project. Not only can we provide you with a brick that will stand strong, but one that will stand out.

Why choose long format linear bricks?

Long format linear bricks are becoming increasingly popular within contemporary architecture due to their distinctive proportions and clean horizontal appearance. Compared to standard brick sizes, linear bricks can help create sleek modern façades, emphasise horizontal design lines and provide a unique aesthetic for residential, commercial and mixed-use developments.

When specifying linear bricks, architects and developers often consider factors such as brick size, mortar colour and joint detailing, as these can significantly influence the finished appearance. The increased proportion of mortar joints within linear brickwork allows designers to create striking visual effects, whether aiming for subtle contemporary detailing or a bold architectural statement.

Linear bricks are frequently specified for modern housing developments, apartment schemes and commercial buildings where a more distinctive appearance is required. Their versatility allows them to complement both contemporary designs and traditional materials, making them a popular choice for architectural projects throughout the UK.

Making sure you get the right choice of brick for your project can be a daunting task. Our technical resources can help architects, developers and contractors evaluate suitable options. You need to make sure that it is the right decision, as it will leave a lasting impression for decades to come. Thanks to our huge variety of bricks, no matter what you choose, the final results will be a spectacle. Our linear bricks will add amazing depth to your builds.
